Mary

Dr. Mary Ngo attended Chapman for both her undergraduate and Pharm.D. as part of the inaugural Freshman Early Assurance Program (FEAP) class of the Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP) and completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2019. She works as a clinical staff pharmacist at South Coast Mission Pharmacy, an outpatient pharmacy at Providence Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. In her work, she serves many patients within the LA/Orange County communities and those in mental rehabilitation facilities, specializing in treatments for substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.

Mary has continued working with her alma mater as CUSP’s Alumni Advisory Board Chair and is an adjunct assistant professor at the School of Pharmacy, precepting second-year pharmacy students in her outpatient pharmacy practice. In her time serving on the alumni board, she has assisted in many multimedia projects, including highlighting the accomplishments of Chapman students and alumni throughout the pandemic, and has been working on an alumni mentorship and preceptorship program. She has also facilitated multiple guest speaker events to educate both students and alumni on the many roads pharmacy can lead to as well as provide a practical perspective on life from graduate school onward.

Mary has also been involved in several nonprofit organizations within the Orange County community, such as the Vietnamese Pharmacists Association (VPhAUSA), Orange County Pharmacists Association (OCPhA), California Society of Health System Pharmacists (CSHP) and Vietnamese Community Action for Resources and Empowerment (Viet-CARE). Throughout her involvements, she has assisted in several events and programs related to new practitioner mentorship, supporting students and other providers during health fairs and professional events.
