Nikole Kingston earned her JD, magna cum laude, from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law in 2005 and her BA in history and political science, magna cum laude, from Northern Arizona University. A native of Orange County, Nikole played volleyball for Capistrano Valley High School and went on to play for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I NAU Lumberjacks. A mother of two, Nikole has long since hung up her knee pads, but she can often be found on the weekends at various volleyball and basketball tournaments throughout Orange County with her husband, Julian, proudly cheering on their two daughters. Following her graduation from law school, Nikole joined the Newport Beach office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and was elevated to partner in 2017.

A member of the O’Melveny Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team, she represents a broad range of clients, including start-up, emerging growth and Fortune 500 companies, as well as private equity firms, individual shareholders, owners and principals. She counsels companies with operations and interests in numerous industries, from health care and technology to general consumer products, with a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Nikole also counsels numerous nonprofit boards on their corporate governance and M&A strategies in addition to serving on the board of the Orange County division of the American Heart Association, as a member of the Fowler School of Law Dean’s Counsel and as a newly designated member of the Project Youth Orange County Bar Foundation Board. Nikole is a second-generation Chapman graduate with her father, Robert Moorhouse, graduating from Chapman College in 1976 with a degree in economics and business administration.
