Debbie Wells

Achievement Institute for STEM Scholars (AISS) Foundation Executive Director Debbie Wells earned her bachelor’s degree from Chapman University in Computer Information Systems and her master’s degrees in Information Technology Management and Business Administration from Webster University. She received her Project Management Certification from the University of California, Irvine. Her professional background includes over 25 years in management, with 16 of those years at the international technology distribution giant Ingram Micro. There, she served as new accounts manager, logistics client program manager and government account manager. Debbie managed and supervised up to 35 people in several locations, including Buffalo, New York; Miami, Florida; Mexico; and the Philippines.

Debbie has over 17 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. For her commitment to serving her community, Debbie was honored as Person of the Year in 2019 by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce at their annual Difference Makers Celebration. She currently serves as a mentor and board member for the Career Beginnings Mentoring Program, one of the collaborators on planned events at AISS. Debbie serves on the board of the Kiwanis Club of Santa Ana and chairs the Community Service Committee. She is also a 2020 graduate of Octane’s Non-Profit Accelerator program and has a passion for guiding the educational, personal and professional development of young people. Debbie is the only fulltime staff member at AISS and has been working for the organization for over 11 years.
